Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Barkani met on Sunday with the Secretary General of the International Parliamentary Union (IPU) Martin Chungong.The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 141st sessions of the IPU in the Serbian capital Belgrade.
Cooperation between the Yemeni Parliament and the IPU was key focus of al-Barkani's conversations with Chungong.Al-Barkani noted the steps taken to reinvigorate the role of the Parliament in the politics and in pushing the UN-led efforts to make peace in Yemen.
